The health and safety of all concerned is the upmost importance to the Wexford Heights BIA as we all do our best to get through this crisis together.

GreenP "Night Out to the Perfect Spot" Promotion

The GreenP “Night out to the Perfect Spot” promotion for the Toronto Parking Authority (TPA)  has been running for five years and the popularity is growing.  Last year they had well over 100,000 entries in the “Night out to the Perfect Spot” contest.  This year the contest dates run from July 8 to September 30, 2013.

This online contest is supported with television – CP24, radio (Over 1200 spots on 6 popular stations), Online support (, Google, Globe and Mail, Toronto Star). As well, large posters are distributed and posted throughout garages and lots as well as to participating sponsors.  

Small laminated posters are posted at Pay and Display parking machines throughout the city. This contest is advertised on the back of 5+ million parking receipts and new for 2013 there will be large outdoor banners outside select Green P lots throughout Toronto.  The advertising benefits to all BIA members participating in this contest are enormous.

Last year GreenP gave away over $60,000 in prizes to over 600 winners.  These prizes included restaurant certificates, entertainment passes, hotel stays and event tickets.  Although we had over 100,000 entries we wanted every entrant to be able to walk away with something so we introduced a “Special Offers” section on the contest web site.  In this new “special offers” section sponsors are able to reach all registrants on the contest site with a special offer from their establishment to entice contest participants to visit and buy from them.

These offers varied from buy one get one to free desserts or percentage off discount.  The special offers program proved to be very successful. This should be especially interesting  to locations looking for increased traffic to absolutely maximize the summer months.

There are 2 separate opportunities for participation -  the online contest portion and the special offers section.

GreenP will do email blasts to their data base before and during the contest period.

The contest begins early in July so we need commitments from participants as soon as possible, with a deadline of May 21, 2013.
